Keith Ching Obituary

Keith Alexander Custodio Ching Apr. 27, 1990 - Nov. 3, 2010 Resident, Oakland & Alameda Keith Alexander Custodio Ching was a sensitive soul. His ability to perceive and his vision gave him a certain genius in art, film and music. Keith was creative for most of his life and produced at a frantic pace when he was not struggling with the problems that he had with an imperfect world; what his world lacked in normalcy, it made up for with love. Keith had charisma and his smile could light up an entire room. He had a great sense of humor, was gentle, and cared about other people. He was survived by his loving parents Gloria S. Custodio and Brian Ching; also by his sisters Sara Magdalena Custodio Ching and Lilia Marie Custodio Ching. Preceded in death by his grandfather Kenneth E.Y. Ching. He had devoted friends who stuck by him through thick and thin. Keith always wanted to include his friends and enjoyed things more when he could share them. Keith was close to his family and was always surrounded by those who loved him because everyone who came into contact with Keith learned to love him. Keith was a very spiritual person. He believed strongly in an afterlife and although he had hopes for the future, he was quite certain that he would be going to a better world when he passed. Keith felt more deeply than most people and therefore, suffered accordingly but he knew how to have a good time and had extraordinarily good times when times were good. He attended San Francisco Art Institute, and was a member of the Stars Community Services. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, November 8, 2010 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Greer Family Mortuary, 2694 Blanding Ave., Alameda. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Albert's the Great Church 1022 Holly St. Alameda. Greer Family Mortuary FD 1408 510-865-3755 www.greermortuary.com
