Frank WEINBERG Obituary

Frank Weinberg Resident of Oakland Frank F. Weinberg died November 2, 2010 at the age of 83. Frank was born in Germany, and his family escaped the Nazi's by fleeing to Shanghai, China. After the war, Frank came to Oakland, where he met his beloved wife, Irene. They were married almost 55 years. Frank was a wonderful man. Besides having a brilliant mind, he was kind, generous, and honorable. He was a magnificent husband, a loving father to his three children: Margaret, Rachel (Daniel Stahl) and Jonathan (Iditt), and he dearly loved his grandchildren: Tamara and Gabriela Stahl; Ben, Noah, and Emma Weinberg. Frank was well-educated in Judaism. He served as cantor at Temple Israel in Alameda for many years. Later, he joined Temple Beth Abraham, in Oakland. There he served as president of the congregation, participated in, and often led services. Professionally, Frank was a professor of accounting at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, where he taught for over 50 years. He enjoyed teaching, and he was a mentor to many people.He also had a private practice for over 40 years.
