James Jacob Davidson Jan. 16, 1937 Nov. 11, 2010 Resident of Ripon, CA On November 11, 2010, Jim Davidson of Ripon, CA, passed away after a 4 year journey with cancer. He died at his home with his adored wife of 40 years, Carolyn, his loving daughter, Vicki [Tom] Gile, and 4 nieces at his bedside. Jim was born January 16, 1937 in Santa Barbara, CA, and spent most of his working life in advertising with Big O Tires in the Bay Area. In the past few years he worked for the City of Oakland where he very much enjoyed the friendship of his co-workers. His many dear friends will remember Jim for his love of laughter and for the incredible spirit he demonstrated in face of the terrible disease that took his life. He was a truly exceptional human being. In addition to his wife and daughter, Jim is survived by his three grandchildren, Lauren, Megan, and his namesake, James Thomas (J.T.) of Tualatin, OR. A celebration of his life will be held in January. Details pending.

November 18, 2010

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you are gone, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
I am honored to say I am your Neice and will be forever blessed to call you my Uncle.
With my love,
Kathy
