Lenny Wood

She called me Lenny 'East Coast Wood' and allowed me to get close to my favorite band. She pushed Fee -literally- to talk with me backstage at Radio City on the Love Bomb tour. So many great memories. RIP dear lady.

Marilyn and I met over the phone in the late 70's. I called a number in the phone book that simply said The Tubes. I just wanted to say "Hi". We hit it off and that was that. I loved her humor, her big heart, and the fact that we could always pick up our conversations wherever we left them, even though many months would pass. We could talk about The Tubes, her family, and the mysteries of life for hours. Her devotion to The Tubes and its members was pure and unconditional. Every band should have a Marilyn Wood in its corner. She was totally a one-of-a-kind, and she is missed. I wish her family all the best. (My that Paul certainly can play them Blues.) Adios, Marilyn. I loved to hear you laugh.

Marilyn, you are the best, we talked so many times and had a connection for over 20 yrs. You don't know how much I'll miss you as we made friends through the Tubes. I'm so sorry I just found out now, my heart felt condolences to Paul and all of your family, you fought hard. God Bless you, Ray Makin
