Her life began in Tabor, Iowa on the farm, the second of four children of Charles and Anna Douglass. She was predeceased by both parents and all her siblings. She married Virgil Clapper in 1935 and moved to Oakland, Calif. in 1937. Rosalene was a devoted homemaker and was a teaching assistant at Stonehurst School in Oakland. For the past year she has been lovingly cared for at Bancroft Convalescent Hospital in San Leandro. She is survived by daughters, Eileen and Karen, grand children, Dean, Kristin and Jennifer, and great grandchildren, Luke and Hope. She has 5 nieces and nephews.
