So sad to hear she has died. So glad we were able to see her. I was surprised to see how much she looked like dad/Leon. It was good to be there. My condolences to all the family. She's probably sharing stories with dad right now!

She was always "Aunt Lil" to me. I moved to San Francisco at the age of 19 to seek fame and fortune. The Ferro's home in the Oakland Hills became my home away from home. Many a week-end was spent with Aunt Lil and Uncle Johnny. Well I remember the scrabble games and the rare times (maybe once) that I defeated "the master." Aunt Lil taught me words like "xi" and "qat." We spent many happy times together. I am forever grateful to Aunt Lil and Uncle Johnny for taking me in and treating me like a daughter. I share the family's sorrow at Aunt Lil's passing and hope they find comfort in knowing she is at peace.
