Tom Brunner Obituary

Tom Brunner Resident of Livermore Tom Brunner, age 70, a Livermore resident for over 20 years, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Tom was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on June 7, 1940. He briefly attended forestry school at Penn State, then entered the US Navy in 1959. He served on the USS Forrestal and was fortunate to travel to many different places in the world while serving. After his discharge in the 1960's, he moved to California where he worked in the manufacturing industry. He was a manufacturing supervisor at Raytheon for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, stock car races, listening to rock and roll, spending time with his dog, and socializing with his neighbors and many friends in the community. Tom is survived by his sister Linda Shelly and brother-in-law, Elvin Shelly of Lancaster County, PA, and by his daughters, Andrea Brunner and Elyssa Bishop, son-in-law Sean Bishop, granddaughter Lila Bishop and his beloved dog, Axel. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 1 at 11:00am at Cusimano Family Colonial Mortuary, 96 W. El Camino Real in Mtn. View, CA. Tom I will never forget you and all the great times we shared. Thanksgiving day at your house was such a fun time. You also made the best Scorpians around, I think, after the first one I don't remember a lot of it. :),I loved the Heuves Rancheros you made on the camping trips! And the stories you told always made me laugh. I loved that Laura, Carla and I were the Dollies. We were fortunate to of had you in our lifes. I only got to meet Tom once or twice, but I know that if you needed a mummified rat or Nascar posters for a Halloween party, Tom was your man!
