Earl Aloysius Granahan

Earl Aloysius Granahan July 11, 1925 - Dec. 24, 2010 Resident of San Leandro Earl Aloysius Granahan passed away in San Leandro on December 24, 2010. He was 85 years old. Born in Oakland on July 11, 1925, Earl retired from the gas department at PG&E after 40 years of service. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and Korea. Devoted to his faith, Earl was a long time parishioner at St. Felicitas Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Earl is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Dolores Granahan, his loving children, Erlien Banuelos, Daniel Granahan and Mark Granahan, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many extended family and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and his daughter, Karen. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo. A vigil service will begin at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday at St. Felicitas Catholic Church, 1662 Manor Blvd., San Leandro. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation or the Parkinson's Institute.
