Bernard "Barney" Daehler

Bernard "Barney' Daehler Resident of San Lorenzo Barney Daehler, 90, of Yakima, WA passed away Mon., Dec. 27, 2010. Barney was born in Minonk, IL to William E. and Jennie Daehler. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1939 until 1959, then worked for the EBMUD as a Meter Reading Supervisor until his retirement in 1977. Barney and his wife Ann spent most of their married lives in San Lorenzo, CA. Barney moved to Yakima in 2008. He is survived by two daughters: Sharon Hixson of Kerrville, TX and Bernalyn McGaughey of Naches, WA. Memorial Services will be held Sat., Jan. 1 at 11 a.m. at the Meyer Auditorium of Living Care Center in Yakima. His cremated remains will be buried at sea with full military honors. Barney was and always will be a proud Marine, caring father to his daughters and loving husband to his wife Ann, whom he now joins after 16 months of separation.
