Richard NISSEN Obituary

Richard Nissen Resident of East Richmond Heights Richard Wellington Nissen, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 26, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Mary Ann; sister and husband Donna and Thomas Luciano of Alameda, CA; sister Betty and husband Wayne Howbert of Topeka, KS; nephew Rick and wife Donna Howbert; niece Judy and husband Dean Forster; grand-nieces Kristen Forster, Courtney Smith, Brian Forster, Sarah Howbert, Jeremy Howbert; nieces Laurie Chemsak Brenner and Sheryl Zimmerman; nephew John Chemsak; grand-niece and nephew Haley and Bryan Zimmerman; and 2 great-great-grandnieces Kaity and Kayden. He was retired from Chevron Research in 1986 and served in the military during the 50's. He enjoyed playing bridge and going to Las Vegas and Reno to participate in the World Series of Poker tournaments. He was an avid 49'er fan. He and wife Mary Ann enjoyed traveling and saw the world from many cruise ships during their time together. Nautilus Society of Oakland in charge of arrangments. No services at his request. Memorials may be sent to the Cancer Society, or charity of choice.
