Wow Bon it has been almost 9 year since you have left us. I still miss our coffee and our talks. Seems like it has been forever at times and then again it seems like just yesterday when I was able to track down you and June. I remember our last lunch at the Elephant Bar, I hear that it is also gone now :( I hope that your peace in heaven is truly something spectacular. Hopefully it won't be all that much longer before I can join my heavenly Nummi family, John and my Mom and Dad. Miss you all so much. Continue to rest in God's peace and me he continue to bless you.

Sorry to hear about Bon’s (and Debbie’s) passing. Our family lived down the street from the Dawson’s in the mid 1960’s. All of us kids played together. Our folks were friends and would play cards. We always looked forward to “card night” because it meant that we would be going over to each other’s house and watching movies or playing. At the swim meets Mr. Dawson was there to make sure we had whatever we needed and to make sure we would never miss a race. He was always interested in how we were doing and helped us grow into who we are today (thanks Alyssa). Thank you for opportunity to know you and your family and for giving us such fantastic childhood memories. Those were the days. My condolences to the family and Godspeed to you Mr. Dawson.

Dear June...I am so very sorry for your loss and the loss the community who suffers the loss of such a great person. Bon was the best mentor anyone could have ever asked for and I was one of the lucky ones to have had him as one of mine. My prayers are with you.

This is a great loss to the city and community of fremont, I will never forget Mr. Bon Dawson he single handedly changed my life on April 30 1986 when he called me and asked if I were still interested in working for Nummi..at the time my life was not going in the right direction and he gave me the opportunity to become a asset to the company and society, and he still kept in touch with me long after I was hired and would frequently visit me down on the floor and I would see him up front and he would always make time to talk if I had a problem but yet held firm when I was not following the rules...You will be missed GOD BLESS your family!

In the 1960's and early 70's, Mr. Dawson gave so much time and effort to each of us kids, by being at our swim meets and helped to frame who we are today! What great memories! Each of you are in the thoughts and prayers of the Lamperts: Sumi, Alyssa, David, Roger and families. Hey Shannon, Alyssa would love to visit with you and catch up on the last 40 years and can be reached at [email protected]. Big Hugs, our love and blessings!

Bon, we spent time together at GM and NUMMI and you taught me so much! What I liked best about you is what you see is what you get. You were a great friend and mentor. I will not forget you.

Bon, We spent many years together at G.M and Nummi. We were on opposite sides of the table with G.M., but we were always able to solve our differences with the people we were representing. We developed a friendship that would last a lifetime. You were a very dear and caring person, a person that it was a privilege to know. We became very close as benefit rep's, that's when I began to know you and the wonderful person that you were. I'm sorry that you didn't make it back here to visit, God decided he needed you more and wanted to take away your pain. I'll miss you B.X. Tell we meet again. Love you, Bobo June, Our Deepest Sympathy to you and your family. We are so sorry of the untimely loss of Bon. He was a wonderful man that won't be forgotten.

Bon, Bon, Bon, what do I say. I love you my friend and I'm going to miss you very, very much.

We had just reconnected and I'm so happy that I had the honor of taking you and June to lunch a couple months ago. I still have my hair that shared your desk for 13 years. I can not believe you kept it all that time.

You talked me into going back into Management (don't know how happy I am about that) and every morning when I would come to work you would meet me at the coffee machine and we would share a morning cup of coffee and a lot of gossip. I've missed that since you retired. The first and last person in that plant to know every person by name. There are so many stories that I could never share them all. I hope that you and John have met up, I prayed for them all to snatch you up as soon as you hit heaven to share a cup of coffee with you. Thank you sooooooo much for your wonderful friendship.

June what can I say Hon, you hang in there and thank you for taking such good care of my friend. You two were so cute together. I'm here and I mean that sincerely. Call if you need anything at all, anything. My door will always be open to you :)

An example of NUMMI choosing the best candidate for the job. Bon was fair, upbeat, kind and a pleasure to work with. What a loss for all everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. I personally feel honored to have worked with such a wise, kind man.

One memory I have of Bon from our days in Labor Relations that really stands out was when he gave me my first performance review. He gave me an overall "3" Meets Expectations. I was LIVID, because I'd been doing a fantastic job, taking all the call-in's manually every morning (what a job that was!), learning lots of new tasks, etc. When I complained to him that he didn't give me at least a "4" of Exceeds Expectations, his reply was "I expect you to be fantastic and you are; therefore, you've earned a 3, because you've met my expectations. If you want a 4, you better work to do something I don't expect!" Ya had to love him. He died at the same age and from the same thing as my daddy did. I hope they are chatting in Heaven, and my thoughts and prayers are with June and the rest of his family. Hugs, Terri Abrahamson
