I had the privilege to work with Mary for a little bit over 3 years. I've always enjoyed conversations with her, and always admired her amazing life stories. She was an extraordinary woman who brought tons of kindness to our community. She will be missed; never forgotten. My condolences go out to the whole family.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I had the honor of meeting your mother only this year and I was overwhelmed by her caring, knowledge and strength. This is a tremendous loss for the City of Milwaukee.

I want to thank everyone who took the time to share their memories and feelings about my mother. It is the kind words and support of friends that is helping us to get through this.

We thought we would have a few more months with her but I guess God needs her now to organize Heaven.

Your mom was a spunky advocate that I really admired greatly. Its clear that she passed these traits on to her kids who I also admire. Mary always had the community scoop and a seat that she offered to me right next to her, as if she was saving it just for me. Bay View will miss her a great deal, as will I. I wish she could have made it to Italy with you physically, but you know she'll still be here, and there with you. My love and sympathies go out to all of her family.

When a star is quenched on high
For ages would its light
Still travel downward from the Sky, shining on mortal sight.

So when a great woman dies,
For years even beyond our lives,
The light she leaves behind her
Falls upon the paths of all.

She will always be a role model to anyone who was lucky enough to know her. We should all work to be as involved as she was, which
takes a lifetime.
My heart goes out to her family.
With deepest sympathies, Julie

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss; my heart goes out to Stephanie, Chris, and the rest of the family. Mary set a wonderful example for 'newcomers' like me (only in Bay View 24 years) of what community can really be and accomplish.

We have lost a pillar of our community and a loving heart. While we knew her passing could come too soon, my heart is filled with grief. My last chat with her was at her community "duty" post, with the rest of us, listening to music in the park.

Mary Morris was and will always be an incredible inspiration to us "youngsters" carrying the torch on behalf of children. I remember her daughter, Julie, telling me what it was like to be raised by Mary..."We were always taught that our purpose in life should be to help others...that's all there is...there isn't anything else."

My deepest sympathies to her daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren.

I have known Mary for about 10 years now; she taught me so much. From our first WI PTA convention to our last Bay View PTSA meeting, I was always learning from her. She devoted her whole life to the lives of not only her children and grandchildren, but to every child. Kids in MPS were truly blessed!! I looked up to her so much! My life and Bay View will never be the same. God Bless You and Your Family Mary.

Mary was such a wonderful lady. This is a huge loss for the family but also for the community. If only there were more people like her with her passion for the quality of education and community.

I have only known Mary for a few years through the Bay View Alumni committee. She has left a lasting memory with me. Her energy and enthusiasm were boundless. I will truly miss her.

I knew she was sick and yet that does nothing to lessen the shock. Once you met Mary Jo, you could never forget her. She was a true friend to so many of us. She worked tirelessly for others, endured many hardships, but always kept up the good fight. She is with our God now, and may He be with all of you at this time. Love from Florida.

Mary was truly a legend touching so many people as a role model, mentor, mother, an advocate for children, and a faithful friend. I will truly miss you Mary; you shaped my future in PTA and as a advocate for all children. Mary will now rest with our PTA founders in heaven.
May God bless the Morris Family during this time of bereavement.

Mary's life was devoted to the causes she believed in. There are many of us that appreciate that she chose the PTA as one of those causes. She shall be missed not only by what she gave to the PTA, but also because she believed in the mission. My sincere appreciation to her family for sharing her with us and my heartfelt sympathy at your loss.
