Mark had it all; great voice, peerless wit, total control, and smooth as Mozart's Lacrimosa. Had he played a continuous recording of a rock falling in space, I would have listened for some large, universal thought in a half-word sigh. Pete King

It was a pleasure to work with Mark from 1970-73. He never had an unkind word and was always willing to help his work colleagues. He will be missed.

Dear Helen and Family,
We were truly sorry to hear of your loss. You and Mark touched our
lives through our children's attendance at Plaza Pre-School. Mark's audio/video assistance with the many Christmas pageants and graduation ceremonies made them all the more memorable. All our best to you and your family in this most difficult time.

Dearest Helen:
I was so sad to hear of the death of Mark. I loved that man almost as much as I loved you. I will always cherish taking the babies Riley and Andrea to the radio station. Mike and I would pick the records and the kids would just make noise. I know my daughter and I will always remember going to that lake in Pecular and seeing my Attila swimming in the pool.

Helen, Carlie and family: My deepest and sincere condolences to all. Mark was truly a good man that always made me feel like family. I remember when he tried teaching Carlie and I to fish since that was one of his passions. I was certainly blessed to know him and will have wonderful memories of this man. I remember the last time I talked with him he was so proud of his grandchildren. He spoke with love in his eyes for these babies. He was also so very proud of you Carlie and I know he felt blessed to have you for his daughter. He had such a wonderful wife and life partner in you, Helen. Please be comforted by the love you both shared and the memories you have for your lifetime of this man.
Blessed be, Tisha

I worked at WDAF radio after Mark, but the stories were still there at the station about how good he was on the air and about how good he made his co-workers feel. I only got to know him in the last couple of years, but I can truthfully say I've know very few people in my life that had that kind of twinkle in their eyes. I've always thought one of the best compliments anyone can receive is to simply be called a really good guy. It was easy to tell that Mark deserved that like few others.

Mrs. Foster and family.
You don't know me, but I am Mark's first cousin on his mother's side. We are so sorry to hear about Mark's death. We tried desperately to find him a few months ago because someone told us he had asked about us. We live at the Lake of the Ozarks.
We are so extremely sorry we didn't find him and all of you so we could be re-united. We'll be praying for your peace that only Our Heavenly Father can give.

I met Mark in 1974 through his wonderful wife Helen. Over the years they have become dear friends and family to me. In fact, Mark and Helen announced to KC that I had turned 21 while visiting. What a great surprise to me to hear that on the radio. Mark will be truly missed, but always remembered.
