Craig,
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. I have so many fond memories of him from our childhood. I take comfort in the knowledge that he is at peace with your mom and Mike. You, Marrianne, and the entire family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

The Colonel, as his brother Ron called him, crossed my path at State Tech in the 70's. Ron re-introduced me to him a few times when he visited the Knox County Codes office over the past 20 years. I believe that the Colonel blazed trails as this famous quote states: “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail”. On behalf of the thousands of Pellissippi State alumni and all Americans, Thank you for your leadership in the early years of the school and your service to your country. May GOD bless all the family with great memories of a great soldier.

I unfortunately never had the opportunity to meet John, but if his son Craig is any indication of the type of man John was, then I truly missed out on the pleasure of meeting him. My thoughts and prayers are with the friends and family of John.

Jack was a wonderful man, inspirational leader and great friend. There would be no PSTCC without his visonary leadership in 1974...

My sincere sympathy. I worked for Mr. Mauer at PSTCC and he was a wonderful man who followed the golden rule and treated each one of us like he would want to be treated. The world lost a great human!
