Mary CARMICHAEL Obituary

CARMICHAEL Mary L, 94, widow of B.C. Carmichael, died Tue, Jan 25, 2011 at St. Joseph East. Born in Georgetown, KY, she was the daughter of the late John and Tess Sartin. Mrs. Carmichael was a 1934 Bryan Station graduate, homemaker, and baby sitter for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 313 and Eastside Christian Church. Survivors include three sons, Ron, Jerry (Sandy), and Fred Carmichael, all of Lexington; one daughter, Patricia (John) Wilson, Lexington; seventeen grandchildren, including special granddaughter, Kari (Derick) Smith, Lexington; twenty-one great grandchildren; special friend, Bonnie Bates, Paris; and many special children she babysat for years. She was preceded in death by three children, Cecil, John, and Marlene Carmichael. Funeral services will be 10am Fri at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Main St. by Rev. Mark Dunn. Burial will follow in Paris Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thu at the funeral home.

I am so sorry for this loss in your family. I worked with Pat Wilson for many years at VASCOR and I remember so many wonderful stories she told about her mother. My thoughts are with the entire family during this time.

Granny I was not ready for you to go, I guess I thought you would be here forever. I know you are still with us in spirit and we were truly blessed to have you with us as long as we did.
