Margie's Obituary

Margie Alderman Turner, 85, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 from complications of Alzheimers Disease. She was a member of Fairview Methodist Church since 1960. Margie was born on February 7, 1927 in Radford, Va., to Harry and Velma Alderman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Alderman. Surviving are her husband since 1943, Ralph Turner; sons, Ronald Turner of Roanoke, Va., and Danny Turner of Wilmington, N.C.; sister, Nancy Orange of Blacksburg, Va.; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family extends a special thank you to Carilion Hospice and Home Health Care. Also special thanks to Ann Wells and Eileen Ensor. A service celebrating her life will be held 2 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Oakeys North Chapel with Chaplain Roger Graves officiating. The interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. The family will be receiving friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Oakeys North Chapel.
