Beth and Julie, I am thinking of you on the anniversary of your mother´s passing. A mother is our very first love and you are who you are because of her. I pray that the Father continues to comfort you and that His constant peace surpasses understanding. "Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth. ... When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and stars, which You have set in place; what is man that You think of him?" (Psalm 8:1, 3-4).

Proverbs 3:18

I was one of the blessed souls who not only called Janet “teacher,” but also called her friend. During my early years at Concord preschool, she was also like a second mom. Through the years, she watched me grow and bloom, during the good years and the difficult ones. She saw me give birth to my own kids and see my daughter as a student at Concord like me. I watched how she poured all her love into Beth and Julie and how they grew in the wisdom of the Lord because of her planting seeds in them throughout her life. When I read this scripture about wisdom, it reminded me of Janet. It is the most precious memory I can pass along to others. If we could live our lives like this verse, the world would be a much better place to live and it definitely is better, because of Janet.
In Christ, Tracy (Maiwurm) Reyes
“Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called blessed.” Proverbs 3:13-18 ESV

She was a wonderful pre-school teacher. My 3 kids went there back in the early 90’s. My condolences to the family.

Janet was the first person to invite me to help in the children's area of the Sunday School at Concord Church. We worked well together and had a good time with the children in the 4 and 5 year old Sunday School class. She was a loving and effective teacher from whom I learned a lot.
