Most brilliant human I have ever known. Incredible instructor; absolutely loved having you as my advisor. Still tell stories about you....from the brilliance to your amazing sense of humor... "Mr. Kempff, I read, speak and write Latin, English and German. If you EVER presume to give me another paper written in Egyptian hieroglyphics...."
I actually had you laughing out loud in class as well...took me four years, but I finally got one on you!
I can imagine the discussions you're having with those who crossed before.

My condolences to the Hayden family at this sad time. I talked to Al a few times over the last 6 months, and was amazed how sharp his mind was even at the age of 96.
