Bill will always remain in my thoughts. He was apart of my fond memories of law school and the friendship we had and continued to have thereafter. He can still bring a smile and a laugh whenever I think of him.

As a practicing attorney in Columbus for many years , I had many cases in Franklin County Municipal Court. It was always a pleasure to have a case assigned to Bill Pollitt. I looked forward to his courtroom, because my client always got a fair shake. Bill did not fit the mold that many thought a judge should have. To all the lawyers that I knew, Bill was our kind of guy. He had no pretense and dispensed justice in a unique sort of way. Once I appeared before Judge Pollitt for a traffic citation and he slammed me. After court we had a beer at Planks, and he laughingly chewed me out again. I practiced in muni court for over forty years and of all the judges I appeared before Bill Pollitt would rank among the best. Oh, I should mention what a kick I got out of seeing Bill put on his robe over jeans and a golf shirt. This Is a lawyer and judge that will be missed. All my best wishes to his family, your loved one lives on in the memories of many .

Bill was one of the best people I have ever known . He was kind and generous but also fun and crazy. He was a fine Judge but one who never wore his robe outside the courtroom. All of us who knew him are a bit poorer today. I was lucky to know him and will remember him always.

Judge, you will be greatly missed, it was always a pleasure for him to come down to work in the Duty room and yell the " A Team is here", and also when he did weddings, he would call himself the Reverend. My prayers go to the family during this time of sadness and know that he was a fantastic Judge and person.
