LINCOLN, Patricia A. "Patty" Age 83, of Brookville, passed away Monday, September 14, 2020, at Hospice of Dayton, after battling congestive heart failure. She was born, October 27th, 1936, to the late Harold and Olive "Mae" Custer in Preble County, Ohio. She was a 1955 graduate of Arcanum High School. Patty married Abraham Lincoln on July 12th, 1955. Preceded in death by a sister Nancy Balsbaugh, and a brother Michael Custer. Survived by husband Abraham Lincoln, 4 daughters Angela (Gary) Dasner, Melinda Napoletano, Becky (Margaret Correale) Lincoln, Melissa Gilliland, son Chris (Rita) Lincoln, 5 grandchildren Brittney and Justin Lincoln, Alex Dasner, Noah Napoletano, Audrey Gilliland, and a brother Sonny (Eva) Custer. She worked and retired from Miami Valley Career Technology Center. Patty enjoyed crocheting, family reunions, cooking and visits with her mother. Patty never met a stranger and loved to tell jokes. She particularly enjoyed beating the pants off anyone in card and board games. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ohio Hospice of Dayton. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Hospice for their professional demeanor, kindness and compassion. Mom...no idea why things load on Dad's page but not yours. Here we are hopefully...Christmas 2024. All 3 photos were on Dad's page but you just got Pepper Jax. So, I give up and will just try one of all of us at Becky's. I love you Mom!

Mom, I don't seem to always get reminders here about you like I do with Dad. It's been 4 years now since you both passed. It seems like just 4 weeks to me. Other times it seems longer. It is not the same with you gone Mom. I miss you and Dad a lot...nothing has been the same. I know that is normal, but it still feels weird. Noah got a job at Walmart doing online grocery pickup and dispensing. He really loves to pick grocery orders, but all the standing and walking has been hard on his flat feet and legs. He is wearing custom orthotics now to see if that will help. We will see how it goes, but I'm so proud of him and how far he has come. We had Christmas at Becky and Margaret's again this year. We had to skip Thanksgiving as they both had Covid. I haven't gotten together yet with Angela, Gary, and Alex. When I first walked in at Becky's house I swear I thought she was you sitting there on the loveseat. I'm including a couple pics from Christmas Day of us all and Pepper, and one of me and Noah at home Christmas night. I miss you and Dad so much and love you both.

Mom, I just had typed a long message here and it disappeared. Maybe I was not meant to share it here. I love you and we miss you so much! I cannot believe it's been 4 years now since you passed. I write and leave messages to you many places but forget about here. I still can't believe no one else has come to leave any messages to you or Dad. I will write more later and come back to leave another message. I will copy and paste it in so I won't lose it next time! Sending love and I hold you in my heart.

Mama...I can't believe no one had come here to leave a message even after 3 years. I miss you so much...been thinking a lot about you and Dad too. Christmas was a bit easier this year but it was almost 60 degrees and rainy. We went to Becky's house. Pepper Jax is doing great!! I did Christmas Eve at Angela's house. Noah's birthday is tomorrow the 29th but we will celebrate it on Saturday the 30th with a pizza party then back to Becky's house for cake and cards (as well as snacks). Nothing is still the same of course...but that will be the new normal I guess. I love you Mom..my incredible little shrinking mama!
