Ardie Bonanno was like a Reader's Digest Most Unforgettable Character. As we all come and go through life, few of us will achieve the positive impact on people that Ardie did. Any room, any occasion really lit up the moment Ardie arrived. I was privileged to call Ardie my friend.

I knew Ardie from the many wine tastings that we attended. He was always knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all things related to wine, and helped to build the wine appreciation culture in the Dayton area. My condolences to his family and many friends. We lost a good one! Ciao, Ardie!

My late husband and I had the honor and privilege to know Ardie for many years. It was he who assisted us in importing our Veleta brand wines into the US from our winery in Spain. We eventually got our own import license but remained close friends to him through the years. This year Ardie was trying to help me secure a new distributor for Ohio, at 75 he was tireless and always willing to lend a hand. Rest in Peace my friend. You and Juan will be watching over all of us down here as that the kind of people you were. My sincere condolences to all of Ardie's family. To Matt, he loved you and spoke highly of you often.
