I worked with Mary at Oak Creek Terrace from my first day there. I was a brand new graduate nurse and she was my mentor for the first week. She was a very compassionate and skilled nurse, a blessing to her patients and coworkers alike. She had a fun loving spirit, and loved a good prank even if it was on her. (Like the time we filled her entire car with balloons on her birthday.) I remember a time she brought in some of her artwork and admired the talent she had. She had a way of being the best example of how God wants us to be. When my grandmother was at Oak Creek and was close to passing away, she made a special effort to get a priest to come and give last rites. My mother is still grateful for that to this day. Mary's life touched so many others and there will be an empty spot in all our hearts since her passing. But she is with God and her husband now and I can imagine her smile shining in heaven.

I worked with Mary for many years at Oak Creek Terrace and I loved her dearly. We were a team and I knew if she was on when I was, that it would be a fun shift and sometimes maybe a little too much fun. I will never forget her. She was beautiful inside and out. She was much more than a coworker, she was my friend and I will miss her.
