Phyllis PROFITT Obituary
Phyllis Jean Profitt, 91, of
Middletown, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Bickford Assisted Living. She was born in Middletown on
October 22, 1929, to parents, Arthur and Grace (Staton) Adams. Phyllis dedicated her time to making a loving home for her family. She worked at the Middletown Public Library after high school (Lemon-Monroe Senior High) and worked as a teacher's aide at Wilson School in the 70's. She
also enjoyed volunteering at Doty House for many years. Mrs. Profitt is survived by her older sisters, Lois Murphy & Eleanor Gillie; her sons, Jim (Karen) Profitt & Mike Profitt; daughters, Lisa (David) Napier & Susan Jensen; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren with two on the way; and nine step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy A. Profitt in May of 2018; and her parents. A brief graveside observance will be held at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum. A remembrance and celebration of the lives of Roy and Phyllis will be held in the Spring, when it is expected that it will again be safe for families and friends to gather.
