Richard PAPE Obituary

PAPE, Richard L. "Dick"

Age 75, of Sugarcreek Township, passed away Sunday, December 6th, 2020, peacefully at his home after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Dayton, Ohio, to Evelyn L. (Berryhill) and Richard E. Pape. He was a graduate of Bellbrook High School and served in the U.S. Air Force and then the Reserves. Dick retired from AT&T (formerly Ameritech) after 30 years of service and was an employee of Sugarcreek Schools for many years. He had a lifelong love of music and the outdoors, which he loved to share with family and friends, especially boating and skiing at Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Courtney Hoffmann. He is survived by his wife, Eileen, and children, Joe Hoffmann (Kelly), John Pape (Crystal), and Ann Kasperski: 3 grandchildren, Kayla Hoffmann, Katie Parker and Olive Pape; 2 great-grandsons, Keegan and Milo; his siblings, Ronald Wilson, Robert Pape, James Pape (Susan), Barbara

Myron (John) and Carol Swallow (Mark) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dick was a hardworking man who appreciated living simply. In keeping with his wishes that he be remembered in life, the family will not have services and ask that in his honor please make donations to The Tenth Life (PO Box 178, Alpha, OH 45301 or online at http://www.thetenthlife.org/).
