UMBSTEAD, Paul A.

Paul A. Umbstead, age 92, of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Cincinnati-Blue Ash on Thursday, December 31, 2020. Paul was born in Richmond, Indiana, on August 12, 1928, to Raleigh Umbstead and Olivia (Toney) Umbstead. He retired as a Manager of Engineering at Mosler Safe Company. He served as a Merchant Marine from 1944- 1946, and then as a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1946-1953. On September 30, 1953, in College Corner, OH, he married Letha Faye Pollock, and she preceded him in death in May 2020. Paul was a member at Eaton Road Church of God, serving in leadership roles throughout the church; and also served with New Life Baptist Mission.

Paul is survived by Bill (Lana) Umbstead, Dan (Kelly) Umbstead, David (Sherrill) Umbstead, Donna (Robert) Broughton, and Janet Black; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his spouse, Letha Faye Umbstead; his parents, Raleigh Umbstead and

Olivia Umbstead; and his siblings, Ruth Umbstead, John Umbstead, and Martha Phillips.

Private services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in Paul's Memory to Hospice of Cincinnati and New Life Mission in Hamilton.
