Charles METZGER Obituary
78, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, in SOIN Medical Center. Charlie was born April 2, 1942, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Courtney A. Metzger. He
retired from Navistar and was a member of St. Teresa Church. Survivors include his wife,
Shirley (Southard) Metzger; three children, Holly Branham, Rebecca (Carl) Metzger and Scott (Allison) Metzger; three grandchildren, David Branham, Jr., Valerie (Landon) Johnson and Kaleb Charles Metzger; one great-granddaughter,
Addison Charlie "Boo" Johnson; siblings, Paul (Sally) Metzger, Julie Claar, Claire Block, and other siblings; and close friends, Jim & Nancy Houseman. He was preceded in death by his
father; and a grandson, Jacob. Due to COVID-19, a private
visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be held for the family. Burial with a graveside service will be held at Lawrenceville Cemetery on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. A celebration of Charlie's life will be held on the farm at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the
German Township Fire EMS or Northwestern Athletic Department. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
