Eugene CARL Obituary
Age 85, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 26, 1935, in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late Wilbur & Geneva (Ginn) Carl. Mr. Carl was the President of AMC in Dayton; and was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church. Gene was a 50 year member of the West Carrollton Lions Club with perfect attendance. As a member of the Lions Club he served as the Ohio District Governor; he was on the Board of Directors for the Central Ohio Lions Club Eye Bank, and was on the Board of Directors for the Lions Club Pilot Dog Program. Preceded in death by his step-mother Myrtle Carl. He is survived by loving wife of 63 years Sue A. (Hertlein) Carl, his son Hal E. Carl and wife Robin, his 2 daughters Ann
Cunningham and husband Chris, Patricia Murakami and
husband Jeffery, brother-in-law Clifton Hertlein and wife
Bonnie, 9 grandchildren Justin, Rachael, & Rebecca Carl,
Sophia (Rob) Dillhoff, Patrick & Mollie Cunningham, Sam, Timothy & Henry (Stephanie) Murakami, 2 great-granddaughters Evelyn Jean & Amelia Rose Dillhoff, as well as other
relatives and many friends. Private Funeral Services will be held at the Memorial United Methodist Church, 26 N. Locust St., West Carrollton, with Rev. Barbara Wiechel officiating. Burial Willowview Cemetery. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Ohio Lions Club Eye Bank, 262 Neil Ave., Ste. 140, Columbus, OH 43215 or to the Memorial United Methodist Church in Gene's memory.
