Lewis was a remarkable individual and served as a mentor to so many in the Fairborn Public Schools. I can recall being disciplined by Lewis in the 8th Grade (1968) as a result of some obnoxious behavior that is typical at that age! Although I left Fairborn a few years after that I can tell you that I often recalled the positive influence he had on me. No doubt that he made a significant difference in the lives of so many kids. The world was a better place with Lewis Reed. Best wishes to his entire family and I'm so sorry for you loss.

Lewis was one of my father's best friends. They both graduated from Wilmington College and taught together in Fairborn City Schools. Lewis was a kind, warm generous person. He had a calm laid back personality and a great sense of humor. My father, Al Gilbert, thought the world of Lewis Reed.
