Calvin SPENCER Obituary
Age 73, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at his residence. He was born August 16, 1947, in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, and moved to Ohio in 2000. Calvin served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed for 15 years as a machine operator for Nolte Machine of Cincinnati. He enjoyed woodworking. Preceding him in death were his parents, George and Mabel Spencer. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pamela-Joan Spencer; one son, Erik
Douglas (Liz) Spencer; two grandsons, Colin and Hudson; and one brother, Kenny Spencer. Private family services are
planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the D.A.V. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.herr-riggs.com.

Kenneth and I were just talking about Calvin. Kenneth has a wooden clock that Calvin made. He is missed by us but we know he is in God´s arms with Pamela.

Kenneth was always happy to hear from his brother, Cal. Whenever I was with Kenneth during these phone conversations Calvin was always polite and kind. Kenneth shared memories with me about growing up with Cal. I have a wooden Bee Bank that Calvin made which is visible to myself and others daily. I know Kenneth misses him deeply. Calvin I believe is in the arms of God experiencing true peace.

My Friend, your dad was awesome. Every time I saw him and talked to him, he was always smiling. He was even smiling when no one was talking. He was just so happy to be in the moment with you and the people who love you. He always sat right next to your mom, and we ALWAYS had a great time together. I’m so sorry to hear of your Daddy’s passing, Erik. I’ll always remember his smile and how much fun he was, even when he was just enjoying the fun we were all having with one another. I send you, your mom, Liz and the kiddos all my love and kisses and the tightest hugs I can muster. I love you.
