Janice FLUCAS Obituary

FLUCAS, Janice Marcia Paschal King
Age 70, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021. Jan was born February 24, 1950, in Xenia, OH. She was a proud alumnus of Paul Laurence Dunbar H.S., class of '69. Her pursuit of higher education began at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She ultimately completed her studies at Central State University, earning her degree in 1974. Jan built a solid career as a counselor to those in recovery from substance abuse and addiction. She earned a number of certifications and recognitions while working in the industry over 45 years. At the time of her passing she was a beloved and dedicated employee of Adams Recovery Center in Clermont Cty, OH. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Charles M. and Helen Paschal King; sister, Patricia King. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Robin Flucas; brother, Charles "Billy" (Jennifer) King; sister, Collette King; nephew, Charles Marsalis King; niece, Madison Patricia King; great nephews, Charles Xavier King and Liam Mathias King; a host of cousins, close family friends and colleagues. Jan loved life and laughter. She was never one for sad occasions and it was her desire there be no funeral service.
