Kathy and family - Sorry for your loss, Lee left us way to early. I worked on the DEAMS program with Lee for a number of years and he was always dependable and considerate. He was quick to give credit to others for successful projects. When things went south (as often happened in that program) he was just as quick to find an amicable solution and get the ship back afloat. He made the office a better place for his being there.

Lee certainly set the bar as a Godly man and leader of his immediate and extended family - not to mention the many lives he touched through his teaching and service to the Lord. Praying for the peace and comfort only Jesus Christ can provide at such a difficult time. We have the promise of meeting again. I pray that sustains you through this experience.

My condolences to the family of Lee Young. Lee and I worked together at WPAFB in 2009. He would invite the team to his lake house for barbecues, he and Kathy were always such gracious host. Lee talked about his family all the time and was obviously very proud of his family. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

I was with heavy heart when I heard of Lee's passing. In ten years or so playing golf on the PK League, I never met a gentler sole. I know he will be missed by all that knew him. Thought and prayers go out to friends and family as all push through this sad time.

I was saddened to read about Lee’s passing. I admired his commitment to family. I met the Young’s as parents at Valley Forge Elementary where I was secretary. They both held education in high regard and molded their family as a great example to others. My sympathies to Laura and the family.

We are heartbroken for your loss. We feel the loss too. We will miss him for the man he was - always giving, helping Lou around the house with projects. Kathy, let us know how we can help in the days and weeks ahead. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy in Laura, Rachel and the boys. Rest in the peace that you will all meet up again with the promise of Jesus, "I go to prepare a place for you... that where I am, there ye may be also." - John 14:1-3.

Pastor Lee served as our interim pastor a couple of years ago. I remember how he used to make his sermons interesting by talking about his personal experiences and his family. He preached the type of Christianity that we are supposed to live daily, even with all our foibles and imperfections, remaining consistent in our endeavor to grow in Christ. He was a kind and gentle man who knew how to make people feel important and loved. It seems that Pastor Lee left us too early, but the Lord knows better. Fortunately, Lee will still be with us in our memory of him and when we finally see him again in Heaven. My deepest condolences to his wife, his mother, and all the children and grandchildren.

I worked with Lee many times over the years. He and I had many conversations during our workouts at the WPAFB gym. We also shared views on spirituality, ethics, and family. Also, we both loved Christmas and compared our Holiday ties we wore during the season. Lee actually took the time to bring one back to me from one of his family trips to Chicago. I cannot help but feel grief and loss however, it is a selfish feeling. I know Lee was called by our Lord and would want us to share this joy too. Thank you for sharing your intellect and friendship. GODSPEED Mr. Lee Young, Jr!
