Johnnie, I was so sad to learn of Fred’s passing from Kim. Barry and I are keeping you, Fred, Jr., Darnelle, and your family in prayer during this time of loss. Rejoice in knowing that Fred is better place, free from pain and suffering. He was such a friendly and jovial person who thoroughly enjoyed entertaining and watching us devour the wonderful food at cookouts we attended! And trust me, we enjoyed it all just as much! The pandemic has robbed us of such gatherings and visits, in general. But we are thankful for those great memories. RIP Fred! You will be missed by many!

Johnnie, Darnella, Freddy - What can I say? Fred, you and my family had a friendship that has lasted more than 40 years. I'm going to miss my friend, my Masonic Brother and in his own way, my mentor. I'm glad that I got to visit with you guys a couple of years ago when I came to Maryland to bury my cousin and I'll always cherish my last minutes spent talking with Fred on the phone just hours before he took his final breath. Johnnie, know that I am but a phone call away and always available to talk to you at any time. My family has a scholarship presented to a student planning to attend Albany State University in Albany, GA named for my 1st Cousin and I will be donating $200 in Fred's name this year to the Bettye Jean Carter Scholarship Fund. You know that I would be there but for my medical problems that I am having but I will be watching on the podcast Saturday at Noon. Love you guys, God Bless you and remember, "there is no hurt that Heaven cannot heal".

OMG I wondered whatever happened to him after graduation! Air Force! He had to walk past our house to school, and right after his mom passed away, he'd walk home with us and hang out for awhile. I have 2 little brothers, one little sister, one sister a year younger. He'd pass ball with the boys, play games with them, we'd play a few records. Couple times he stayed for supper, always informal, hectic, noisy. He and some of his friends sang the song "Arabia" a capella (sp?) for a talent show at school. They were very good. My sincere and deepest sympathy for his family. Prayers for Freddie and all of you.

My sincere condolences to Aunt Johnnie, Little Freddy and Darnella. I love you all dearly and I'm praying for you. May God's comfort keep you strong during this tough time. If you need anything, I'm a phone call away. Rest In Peace Uncle Freddy.❤❤
