I worked with Leona at the Springfield USPS for a year or two, right before her retirement. I was a carrier and interacted with her in the register room, which was her bid job at the time. She always wanted all your paperwork to be complete and exact! A little bit later I transferred to the clerk craft and was assigned to fill in for her when she was on vacation or ill. And then I bid on and got her job in the register room at her retirement! She was so professional she lobbied our supervisor to have me with her during her last week there to train me properly! She was fun to work with and a very committed USPS employee. I believe she retired in 1988 or 1989.
