Joshua ERNEST Obituary

ERNEST, Joshua Alan

Age 38 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love on Monday, May 31, 2021. Josh was

preceded in death by his daughters, Nataleigh and Hope

Ernest; father, Wesley Alan Ernest; paternal grandparents,

Richard and Jearline Ernest. Josh is survived by his mother,

Pamela Hensley; sister, Miranda Ernest; nephews, Dylan and Damen Hallyburton; daughter, Mariah Bradstreet; maternal grandparents, Robert and Hazel Hensley; uncles, Douglas Hensley and Jason Hensley; cousins, Bowman Hensley and

Taylor, Gavin Hensley, Bea and Rose Hensley; aunts, Cindy Hensley, Alyssa Hensley. Josh was a kindhearted family man who gave his heart to the Lord at a very young age which was reflected in his love towards people: he would give the shirt off his back to anyone who was in need; he never met a stranger. Josh enjoyed working with his hands and was a very hard worker. As a profession, he spent many years working as a cook in a local diner in Mars Hill, Maine and later at Bonanza Steak House in Presque Isle, Maine; and for a brief period of time, City BBQ. Along with cooking, he enjoyed being in the great outdoors: camping, hiking, fishing, fiddle head hunting, and all snow sports. Josh had a great love and

respect for all animals. He was an all around great guy who was much loved by his family and friends. A Celebration of Josh's Life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021, at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – FAR HILLS CHAPEL. Memorials/donations can be made to: Pelotonia.org. Condolences may be sent to
