I'm sad to learn of Howard's passing. I have been missing saying hello to him as we traveled the road in our neighborhood. I have fond memories of our quick chats as he walked Ginger around the corners. I wish the family my condolence. May your memories bring comfort and peace.

In getting to know Rich, my husband, in those very early days - one of the things that nourished my love was the affection, reverence that Rich held for Howard -- this quirky, old-ish musical-mystic who I soon came to recognize as a supreme soul-soother. He continued -- and continues -- to be a generous 'influencer', finding the best in the good and pushing it all together to make better (or at least interesting...) I will miss the opportunity to be in his physical presence, and I share Sean's grief at losing direct access to Dad. Howard will continue to be a significant, guiding presence.

Sean-
I am very sorry to hear of your dad´s passing. The world has lost a talented man, but you have lost your father.
Even though it has been many years since we´ve spoken, I want you to know my heart goes out to you.
May your memories provide you comfort in the coming days.

Howard, I miss out talks, texts and emails and mostly your sense of humor . My life was enriched having you as a brother. Peace always with you.

I love you, Howard - I hope you are joined in the after-life by all your beloved dogs, and have a big cigar, and martini waiting for you!

My deepest condolences to the family and friends, and to all of the students and teachers whose hearts he touched. He was a great, talented, caring man who gave the gift of music to so many.
