EDINGTON, Barbara Jean

Barbara Jean Edington, 74, of Springfield, passed away November 11, 2021, at Springfield Regional Hospital. She was born January 28, 1947, in Springfield, the daughter of William E. and Dorothy V. (Hopkins) Gano. Barbara enjoyed shopping, watching wrestling, and she especially loved her dogs. She attended Deliverance Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrel Edington; daughter, Ginger Edington; sisters, Connie Richardson and Joan Lou Swick; one niece; two nephews; and her parents. Survivors include her brother, William (Kim) Gano; nephews, James (Angela) Wright, Shawn (Jody) Druckenbroad, and Andrew Gano; and several great-nieces and nephews. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Condolences may be shared at

We will always love and miss Barbara she was a good woman. She was loved by so many. She said that she didn't know how she was going to make it with out Connie and now they are in heaven with each other and their heavenly father . Miss you both very much cuzs . R. I. P. And enjoy your life with God.
