Stephen CHAPPELL Obituary

CHAPPELL, Stephen Todd

Stephen Todd Chappell passed away at Miami Valley Hospital on November 9, 2021. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on September 9, 1964.

In his early years he lived in the Washington, D.C. area, when his father moved there to assist Senator Saxby in his newly won Senate Seat. Todd had a flavor for politics and followed the

local as well as the national

arena. He read books profusely and dozens were found among his possessions. He often talked about the vacation trip he took to New York City, with his father and step-mother when he was 10. He graduated from Edison State College with an associate's degree in marketing/sales. While Todd was confined to a nursing home in his later years, he used his electric wheelchair to travel on his own to local nearby stores.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia J. Chapppell and his father, Robert K. Chappell.

He is survived by his step-mother, Janice L. Young (Ralph), his brother, Christopher A. Chappell; step-brother, Benjamin H. Chappell.

A memorial service will begin at 4 PM on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Southminster Presbyterian Church (7001 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, OH 45459). A gathering of family and friends will be held immediately following the service.
