MARTIN, Elizabeth A.

ELIZABETH A. MARTIN, 88, of Springfield passed away on

Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Oakwood Village. She was born on June 1, 1933, in

Washington, DC, and was raised in Huntington, West

Virginia, the daughter of the late Frank and Mabel Gibbs. Survivors include one daughter, Sherry (Dennis) Benston; three sons, Hurshell Capper, Zachary (Dee) Capper and

David (Kano Marvel) Martin Jr.; five grandchildren, Zachary II (Wendy) Capper, Cody (Amanda) Capper, Abby (Robert) Cline, Hannah Benston and Rolo Walker; four great-grandchildren, Bridget, Charlie, Colton and Quinn Capper; brother-in-law, Tom Martin and special friend, Mary DeSantis. She was

preceded in death by her husband, David A. Martin Sr.; one grandson, Kane Capper and numerous brothers and sisters. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday,

November 18, 2021, from 11 am to 1 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. A celebration of life for Elizabeth will begin at 1 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Sam Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Ferncliff Cemetery. The family would like to thank Oakwood Village, Heritage Point Staff for their devoted and loving care of our mother.
