I have not been able to get Barb, H, Jason and Lindsey off of my mind since I learned of her passing last week.
It´s been many years since I last saw her or H. It´s funny how time passes, you lose touch and forget about people from your past. But I have so many good, fun memories with Barb, of course from many years of sitting in the stands watching softball, both of us rabidly cheering on the Westview, or whichever team our husbands were on at the time. I was always amazed at how she could watch those games but always know exactly what both kids were doing at all times. She was the best, doting little mommy I knew during that time. And Heaven forbid if ANY kid put their little fingers on the backstop fence - I can hear her now, "fingers off the fence".
Another (not so proud) memory I have is from the 5th Quarter Restaurant after a tournament in Louisville. I won´t rehash that one here, but I´m sure H remembers it well. We all spent many evenings and weekends together during those that time in our life. I´m sad that we lost touch over the years, but I will always remember Barb smiling, laughing, having a great time enjoying life.
I want the family to know that I am deeply sorry for your loss. Barb was a sweet, beautiful, loving mother, wife and friend, and I hope your memories bring you comfort during this difficult time.
