Donald MINTON Obituary
Donald K. Minton, 60, of Medway, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022. He was born May 30, 1961, in Dayton, the son of the late Robert, Sr. and Marie Minton. Don was a Bethel Township Trustee, his contributions to his community were invaluable and he will be dearly missed. He was a devoted father and papaw. Don is survived by his daughters Alexis and Abigail Minton; sister Rose Minton; granddaughter Layla Swigart; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Joe Minton and Robert Minton, Jr.; and sister Patricia Minton. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 4pm-6pm with a service to honor Don beginning at 6:00pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.trostelchapman.com.

I cannot begin to express my deepest sympathy for your family and those you love, I am so sorry. You had always been such a dear friend in school and I have always held the gift and memory of "you" close to heart. We met in 3rd grade at New Carlisle Elementary and I remember you would walk to my house with your blue baseball cap on, usually bringing me some flowers that you had picked. I was thinking of you a few days ago but had no idea that you had passed. It has been years since I have seen you but I know in my heart that if our paths had crossed, it would be like picking up where we left off. You and all you loved are in my thoughts and prayers. You were such an illumination of love to all in this earthly experience and will always continue to be. Until we meet again. Your friend always.

Donny was a great friend of mine. He was just a great guy who never said a bad thing about anyone which shows his true character. He was also a good athlete who I enjoyed playing with. We had some awesome battles in baseball &, basketball. Times I'll never forget. A competitor in all aspects of his life. God bless his family. RIP my old friend
