So sorry for your loss. A kinder soul could not be found, a stronger, more loving woman; impossible to know. The light of her life will brighten the world. Our hearts are with you all.

Mary has been a friend since we were in St. Anthony as alter servers together then playing basketball at CJ and through UD as well. We were never close but our paths crossed so many times throughout the last 30 years that I definitely consider her a friend. There are two things I'll always remember about Mary... One is a conversation in the locker room after basketball practice when she enthusiastically committed to doing ANYTHING she could to help the team- shoot 1000 free throws, run more sprints, eat more green beans; WHATEVER it took to make the team better... That selflessness and dedication always stuck with me (that and how she would wash her face before and after each practice :o) The other is how she ALWAYS went out of her way to say hello and talk to me. I was a couple years younger and had a different group of friends, but when I was new on the team or walked into a party where I didn't know anyone, if Mary was there I had a friendly face and someone to make me feel welcome. It is heart breaking that her family, friends, the entire world won't get to experience the absolutely brilliant impact a long life would have had. I'm thankful to have known her.

I know you don´t know us as we just make bed to Columbus and St Matthew Parrish. We have a daughter in heaven, too. Her children and I have been and will be praying for all of you. Please accept our sympathy.
