Saying good-by to my dear friend Barney is tough. We have been friends since 1969 when we flew LOGAIR out of Wright-Patterson. As a new guy in town, he invited me and my wife to his home. Carol and Tammy became forever friends. Although we moved from Ohio we never lost contact. We met at Stewart Field in Waynesville for annual fly-in until my health kept me from attending. Barney was a great guy and anyone who met him would agree. Never forgotten and always loved. We talked many hours on telephone these last years.
You and Carol are a huge part of our lives.
I hope to see you again my brother,

Today a fine man and father is being honored. Tammy and I are there in spirit. He was a best friend. We met in 1969 as flight crew members flying LOGAIR from Wright Patterson AFB. My wife became best friends with Carol and to this day they stay connected like sisters. Although we moved away from Dayton area we would meet at annual fly-in at Stewart Field in Waynesville. Our mutual interests in airplanes and flying adventures were topics of many phone calls over the years. Life is short and Tammy and I are so thankful we knew Barney.
Never forgotten old friend. See you one of these days in the big beyond. You are loved.

I always looked forward to Uncle Byron flying his plane to visit us. Many fond memories of him and will never forget the time he took me for a plane ride because i kept begging him, but after a short time i was again begging him- to end the flight because it was a very windy day. Rest in peace Uncle Byron

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Barney´s family and friends!
I spoke to Barney two weeks ago and he and I reminisced about our "flying days" of years gone bye. He had a clarity of mind that amazed me and we logged a lengthy memory with the hope that we would talk again soon! A week later my unanswered call made me think of how time and contacts pass us bye!
Prayers and fond memories,
