Bart FRYE Obituary
Age 61, formerly of Kettering, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022. Preceded in death by his father Les Frye, Bart is survived by his wife of 35 years Lynn, son Nick, mother Jeanne, sisters Beverly Tarin and Dee (Rex) Eagon, sisters-and brothers-in-law Lesley and Dale Walton and Michelle and Matt Smith, parents-in-law Jim and Bernice Midlam, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive visitors from noon-3:00 pm on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with a memorial service following. If desired, the family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of Dayton. Condolences may be sent to the family, and additional information is available, at

I always enjoyed his FB post, what a great sense of humor. Not to mention all his other talents. I had just realized that I was not getting his posts. Thinking it was a FB thing, went to his FB page to see if he had any recent post. Then a saw a post from one of his friends. I´m at a loss of words. What a great guy and personality plus. He will be missed. I worked with Bart at Woolpert.

I loved Bart... and I really didn´t know him all that well. I just knew he was Lynn´s husband and that´s ALL I needed to know. The several times we were together over the years, his smile & laugh drew you in. I loved that Bart was comfortable in his skin. Being who he was. From the 1st time I met him, in the mid 80´s, we were fast friends. He had come with Lynn, to some of my family events and he just fit right in. He never knew a stranger. I absolutely loved being his FB friend. He was so funny. Loved seeing his unique collection of toys and what knots.
I communicated with Bart via messenger during his illness. He was always positive. He was always grateful. He always left me feeling better then before our messaging started. I know how much he will be missed. I am thankful for his friendship and love. &

I met Bart at Daddy Katz. But I knew of his Hot Rod Corvair before I knew who he was. Loved his creation. Bart helped me out so many time. He´s bought many guitars from me. I wish I could buy one back. He posted something funny most every day. He gave tuff love. Everyone knew him and everyone loved him. He left an impact on the world. He was special. I´ll miss him.

Bart helped me among others with an addiction. He was a caring guiding light to all who knew him. He talked about his family, Lynn and Nick as they were his reason for living. He found joy in the simple things. He didn´t sweat the small stuff and was like a people magnet because of all of these attributes. I will feel a profound sense of loss even though we didn´t see much of each other. I have read many tributes about Bart and realized I am one of many who will miss him just being. I know he is in heaven and healed and with others and waiting for us to join him. God bless Lynn and Nick and the rest of his family and friends and give everyone peace in all of this. God speed my friend.
