Mike and I became friends in grade school at Our Lady of the Rosary. We reconnected on Facebook years ago. I am so sad that I did not know of his passing I would have been at the funeral. If someone cares to tell me how he passed if its not an imposition I would appreciate it.

Dad, I miss you more than you will ever know. I miss our lunch dates and our conversations. I cannot see a cool looking car without thinking of you. I cannot see a box of chocolate turtles without thinking of you. I want to go to the watson lake car one more year and than another after that you were taken to soon from me.

I'm sad to share that my wonderful dad Michael L Jeckering Sr. has passed away. He was more than a dad to me-- he was a friend. Even though we couldn't see each other all the time, we had weekly conversations that lasted hours. He was interested in what I had to say, interested in his grandchildren and we shared a passion of history and the family. My only comfort is that you are now with you brother Paul, your best friend. No words can express how much I will miss you dad I am truly heartbroken
