Gregory Reffitt Obituary

REFFITT, Gregory Bruce

Formerly know as the The Jerky Man, was born on December 20, 1949, in Hamilton, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing, boating on the lake, playing at the casino, and shopping around for all of the lowest prices. Even if it wasn't broke, he knew how to fix it, and he always knew the lowest gas prices in the tristate. Even if you had never met him, he was always willing to lend a hand, made sure no one went hungry, and was the first to jump at an opportunity to help friends or family that needed a favor. Among that family, Greg leaves behind his beloved daughters and grandchildren. Greg passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on August 28, 2022, and will be greatly missed. There will be no services, in honor of his wishes. Greg was my neighbor for many years and during that time I cannot tell you how many times he help me to fix my lawnmower that used to have the belt fall off all the time or stop working in the middle of the pasture and he would go get his car and drag it in and then help me fix it. He went to the store with me to buy parts for it, we had Thanksgiving dinner together one year and it was very nice. We both love Golden corral and that´s where we went. After he moved, my mower broke again, and I called him to ask whenever he had a moment. Could he help me and he drove over that day and help me fix the lawnmower yet again and then I finally bought a new one. I am just now finding out about his passing but I still wanted to share this, and there wasn´t any tool any screw any nail any anything that he did not have on hand to give so you didn´t have to purchase something he was able to fix anything. I cannot tell you how many things he fixed here for me, as well as cut down a tree. I will miss him. He was a good friend. And we shared so many laughs together, watching fireworks from our backyard, telling stories, and all kinds of other things.
