I remember Mr. Zerkle. He was a teacher or superintendent when I was in school. He was always a good role model in my eyes. He always had a welcoming and fair spirit to educate. Rip Mr. Zerkle

I'm a former student of Shawnee HS. Class of 89. I remember being introduced to Mr. Zerkle (he was wearing a gray suit, white dress shirt, & a blue tie). Ann Byerman, my Aunt was employed as a Secretary in the Office. At age 13, I remember him as being kind and personable. I believe that he said It's good to meet you. I think that he asked me what grade I would be entering. I do know that he wished me well in my coming years at Shawnee. My condolences to his family, friends, and those he touched while here.
