There are so many words I can share about my Mom. Far too many than I can possibly say right now without tears. One thing I can say is that my Mom lived her life with courage and authenticity. She experienced deeply all the emotions we as humans have been gifted with. The singular emotion my Mom firmly focused upon as her life's guide was....LOVE. Love of family. Love of friends. Love of home. Love of God. Love of the world. Everything she said and did infused the flavors of love. I feel profoundly privileged to have had shared so much of my life with such a true living light. So many priceless memories that can never be repaid. So many lessons learned by example. So many moments etched in my mind, my mannerisms, my manner of living. I will miss her dearly.

In the words of Queen Elizabeth, a person my Mom never let me forget was same age...."Grief is the price we pay for love." So grieve, and grieve deeply, for the painful losses of all your own loved ones. Our ability to grieve is our witness to authenticity.

Be like my Mom. Love. Laugh. Live. With courage.

With deepest sympathy to the entire family. Tante Hilde was one of the strongest and kindest women I have ever known. I remember the times my mom and I would visit . She always had a freshly baked cake and coffee. I will miss her.
She is reunited with her husband and sons again.

Hilde was Mother and Oma
She was the most independent, kind, generous, strong willed and faithful to God that I know.
I am going to miss us going to lunch together as we did at least once a week for years. We were supposed to go this weekend until God said time to be with Jesus your husband Gregor,
Greg Jr. and my Nick. Please give all a hug but an extra one for my Nick. Hilde you were my best friend too. I love you and you can rest now with your loved ones.
