We all have such great memories of Uncle Mark, but the ones that that are most prominent for me are from my childhood. From taking us horse back riding on Sammy to fishing with him in grandma and grandpa´s pond and even giving us rides on his various motorcycles and mopeds. He was a big kid who always made time to play with us. I can vividly think back to the absolute BEST hide and seek games ever and they were with him! He would of course help us find the perfect hiding spots. I mean, I remember him stuffing me into coat cabinets, on top of refrigerators and behind boxes in the basement. This guy brought so much joy to this world, which could be seen with his big grin and heard with his boisterous laugh. But joy wasn´t his only gift, he was one of the most patient people I´ve ever known. So much so that he was the only family member that ever attempted to teach me at 16 years old how to drive. And if that wasn´t enough, it was in his handsome white Camaro on Horse Shoe Bend Road! As we were driving down that crazy curvy road he instructed me to turn, but I did so a little too quickly which almost put us in a ditch. Even in that moment, he was so sweet and chill in his Uncle Mark way. He even tried to encourage me afterwards to keep trying, but that was the end of the road for me. I failed my temps test twice and waited until I was 18, but Uncle Mark believed in me
Mark Riley may not have been a rich man by society´s standards, but he was always content with life his heart is one of gold. Always worked hard. Always played just as hard. He taught us a lot in his life and I´m forever thankful to have had him in mine.
Thanks for the good times, memories and all the love Uncle Mark. You will be missed, but your beautiful soul shines on!

I met Mark Riley at the Spitfire probably 12 or so years ago. Mark was always a great friend to me. When I had back surgery he would come over and cut my grass for me although he did hit something and turned my mower into a rototiller, it was taking out huge chunks of my yard so we had to go get new blades. I ended up selling him this same mower for a reasonable price. Another time at the bar he had a tooth bothering him so he pulled it out himself with a pair of pliers. It was painful to watch, and they gave him a shot of whiskey to disinfect it. Mark was a courageous man and he always seemed to be in a good mood. He was always happy and always having fun. Definitely will miss Mark Riley!

So very sad we cannot be there to support these great families and friends we knew from our Ohio years. These two families were always so precious and loving to everyone they knew. We send our love and sympathy, knowing our hurt in losing our son, Kevin and the hurt they are feeling,

One of my favorite memories with Mark was snowmobiling, hanging on for dear life as he sped through the snow! He made us laugh! He will be missed.
