Madelin was my hero, I loved her dearly. Our friendship started with a conversation about Kentucky. I told her I was born in Berea College Hospital, she took hold of my arm and laughed. She told me the story of going to Berea College and I was totally impressed! That conversation started our friendship and I looked forward to seeing her at church. I have known a lot of, people and would say they were kind, generous and loving but Madelin surpassed that. She had the purest heart and soul of anyone I ever knew. I always said,",Bye,Bye sweet friend ". But now I say," See you in heaven sweet Madelin".
