Cheryl was a servant of the most "HIGH GOD" she did what she was called to do. Full of Fire and Fight.
She fought a good fight and have finished her course. Ami, Sarah, and Family, Remember and continue in the path that you were taught. I rejoice with you. Be Blessed and hold close to each other in Love.

Kent State University was blessed with Cheryl Cunnagin, her daughters Ami and Sarah, and her husband, Ken, who served as the Director of Aircraft Maintenance at Kent State Airport before preceding Cheryl in death. In all respects, Cheryl Cunnagin was a wonderful person who spared no effort to help anyone who needed her help in any capacity that was within her means. She was a blessing to Kent State University's Flight Training Program at Kent State Airport where she worked voluntarily in aircraft maintenance before and after the passing of her husband, Ken.

After rendering truly laudable assistance and support services in the technical field of aircraft maintenance, Cheryl Cunnagin proceeded to work with the same infectious spirit of care and commitment to everyone she encountered as an employee in Human Resources, and later in the Office of Global Education. Her sheer goodness of spirit and kindness while working in the Office of Global Education was manifested in her very memorable work of rendering gracious assistance to the Fulbright Visiting Scholars throughout their 10-week stay and work at Kent State University.

May the blessed soul of Cheryl Cunnagin rest in eternal peace and may God grant much comfort to Ami and Sarah, and their families, amen.

In sympathy,
I. Richmond Nettey,
Professor of Aeronautics.

Dear, sweet Cheryl, Ami, and Sara ...
you must know that you are one of those rare people who become a gift to everyone who gets to know you. You were an earthly angel and now you're a heavenly angel. I can speak about the lives you touched while you worked at Kent State University. Every person in the Office of Global Education felt your warmth and benefited from your Christ-like actions, prayers, and aura. You were a bright light in a sometimes dingy world. Always greeting everyone with a smile and a hug. Always asking them how they are and really listening to their answer and caring what they had to say. You made a true difference in the world like no one else I've ever known and your humility and grace were unparalleled. It's nice to know you're up there in heaven now, watching over all of us. I'll drop you a line now and then when I'm praying. I know you'll hear me, and be near us all if we only summon you. I love you, Cheryl. Thank you. ..Amy

One of my most precious memories was working with my wonderful, strong, confident sister, Cheryl. We worked as police officers in the late 1970's early 1980's at the Oxford Ohio Police Department. Blessed travels Cheryl.

Oh my Cheryl. How I'll miss you. I love being your sister! You and Ken have given me and my family so many great memories!. It will be those thoughts and memories that will give me some comfort throughout the years until once again, we are together. Thank you, Cheryl, for introducing me to Jesus, along with Rita and Mark. That truly is the most valuable gift you've given me! I love you, cheryl!

So many many thoughts and memories of our precious sister. We grew up as the oldest of six sisters in a family of eleven. We shared our lives together in the responsibilities but had lots of different ideas and likes. Cheryl and I didn´t really start our journey of a deep friendship until we were adults.. she was my confidant. She was always there to help care for my children and I hers. She was always a very good listener and always sought the welfare of her family and others in many ways throughout her journey. Her Rock was the Lord Jesus Christ. He was her strength, her joy her life and breadth. Always did she extend her arms out wide and her prayers of hope and compassion to all of her children, her siblings and anyone and everyone who came to her mind or in her proximity. She was ( and Is) an amazing sister to me and to all of us who rejoiced in her labours of love for others. I thank my God and King Jesus Christ for the gift He gave us in our sister! She has given me courage and joy to continually run my race with enduring promises of Hope and faith! She is so missed in my heart and all of ours... I love you Cheryl!! .. I see her in the arms of Jesus surrounded by those who went before hearing the endearing words of Christ.. " We´ll done My good and faithful servant.. enter now into the joy of thy Fatherin closing I want to share one of my last fond memories with Cheryl. I was up visiting in Colorado from Texas house sitting for our kids. I called Cheryl to come out and visit. She did.. nothing planned.. but I asked her what she would like to see and do.. she said" I love traveling and seeing the mountains.. we took off on a two week journey throughout Colorado and New Mexico. She´d see a road off the beaten path and say" let´s go that way".. cannot express the joy and fun we shared together in that journey.. but she lived and prayed for people all along the way... and all the joy we shared among those we met! It was truly a gift.. yes she is missed ! I think the greatest thing our Cheryl would´ve wanted for all of us.. is love one another deeply and stay close and in touch! Love you all. Karen and Karl

My dear sister - I cannot express how much I am going to miss you. You and Kenny were my godparents growing up and I always thought "how lucky am I?" I think back to the rides in your red VW Bug, you picking me up for sleepovers, taking us kids to the drive-in or out for ice cream. You were always so much fun. Then as we got older, how instrumental you were in my journey of faith. Hours of conversations, uncontrolled laughter at times, your visits to Georgia when we lived there...and your visits to Colorado. All my drives "down the hill" (down the mountain) when we would chat on the phone about everything and nothing at the same time. Your compassionate heart touched so many as you desired for each person you encountered to experience the love of Jesus. You uplifted us all when you'd say, "You're the BEST" - but actually Cheryl - "YOU WERE THE BEST!" Words can't convey how much I will miss you. I will always be grateful for your generous love. Until we meet again - Love Carole

Cheryl was a Mom to all and loved all. She was one of those people you couldn't wait to see to get a hug from because you felt loved. Her smile was contagious and she loved having fun. When I lived with Sara I looked forward to her visits. I admired her strength and compassion when her husband passed away. She should have been the one to be comforted the most with her daughters but instead she was the one comforting others. I admired her and hope that if I have children to raise them the way she did. Words can't even begin to describe the void she has left on this Earth but she lives on through her daughters and grandkids.
